Information Exchange
Programs benefit from information exchange. Similar programs, common
problems, research-based or proven promising practices – these
all exist within and across fields of work.
The Levitan Center’s work in information exchange helps to
ensure that the “wheel” is not reinvented time and time
again so that the effective work in one setting can inform or be
transferred to the work of another.
Learning from others saves time and money and results in better
services. The Levitan Team creates networks of programs and initiatives,
as well as scouts out the best of the best so that programs learn
from each other. Ways that the Levitan Center promotes information
exchange include:
Establishing and operating clearinghouses
Pairing programs and arranging cross-program visitation, communication, and
sharing
Designing and conducting “best practices” forums,
conferences, and publications
